Spencer keeps his eyes locked on the television, and doesn’t say all of the things that he’s thinking, doesn’t tell Brendon that maybe the smaller boy looks a little like him, in his obvious eagerness, his willingness to please, his doe-eyes, his wicked grin. Brendon seems to get it, though, because he reaches out toward Spencer and gently takes the remote out of his hand, setting it on the table between the two beds. “Don’t change the channel,” he says.

Hey, so, I've sort of been absent for a while, which has SUCKED in a major way. I apologize from the bottom of my (bandom-filled) heart. I have, however, been working on a Brencer that is coming along rather nicely. Plot bunnies are hopping merrily around my head, I promise. Now, all I have to do is pick ONE bunny out of the 400 possibilities.
HERE! Have a teaser!
It wasn’t until Brendon noticed the guitar laying across Ryan’s lap that Spencer saw anything other than mild annoyance cross Ryan’s face. “Dude, an Ovation? That’s just…wow. Can I?” Spencer didn’t really expect for the boy to wait for an answer, but wait he did, his eyes trained on Ryan’s blank face.
“Sure.” Ryan handed over his guitar, his eyes glinting with something like parental concern, and Brendon grinned widely, shrugging off his own guitar case and laying it gingerly on the floor before reaching out to grasp the neck of Ryan’s. He sat on the couch and strummed a few chords, his eyebrows pinched slightly and his bottom lip pulled between his teeth in concentration, before easily plucking out a complex melody, more folk-classical than either Ryan or Spencer were used to.
Spencer wouldn’t have noticed Ryan’s eyes widen or the corner of his mouth quirk up if he hadn’t been watching for it. This boy was a shoe-in.
Part of me desperately wants to make this into an EPIC relationship-development highschool fic, when the band is just starting out (Pre-Wentz and Walker). However, another huge part of my wants to skip all of that, make an attraction obvious, and go for a PWP. Any suggestions?
Also, if anybody has any kinks that they want in this fic, I would be more than happy to take requests. I love writing "assignments."
